The conference takes place at the Kontakt Wellness Hotel**** in Stará Lesná at the foot of the High Tatras — the pearl of the Slovak countryside. The High Tatras span roughly 260 km² with more than twenty peaks exceeding 2,500 m; the tallest, Gerlach, reaches 2,655 m. The area features 32 glacial valleys and mountain tarns, with the tourist centres Starý Smokovec, Tatranská Lomnica and Štrbské Pleso nearby. The symposium is held in autumn, the most delightful season, when the weather is usually stable.
